Now firstly, does anyone see a distinct overuse of the word “illegal”?
Radiohead put their own album up for download on supposedly “illegal” sites. Thus when 2.3 million people download it, thats where they’ll get it from. Now what WENN (the news publishers that Yahoo pick and choose stories from) have failed to mention, is exactly how much HAS been paid to Radiohead for their album? Now call me curious, but doesn’t an article claiming a sales slump need to show proof of said slump, instead of just quoting how many people downloaded the album “illegally”?
Oh, and how, I wonder, do they keep track of how many people are downloading the specific album? Breach of privacy, I think so.
Swedish ISP’s don’t do this sort of thing.
